As we bid farewell to 2023, I am thrilled to share a retrospective of our year—a year marked by innovation, growth, and community building. Since our inception in 2010, our global team has tirelessly strived to deliver unparalleled quality with our speakers, CPD/CE, and collaborations with industry leaders. Join us as we reminisce on the milestones that have shaped our journey and set the stage for an even more impactful 2024. 

Event Highlights and Achievements: 

This year saw the success of multiple live virtual events, creating a unified platform that captured the essence of our commitment to excellence. The atmosphere was electric, with attendees fully engaged and buzzing with enthusiasm. We take pride in celebrating the triumph of our record-breaking events, such as the remarkable achievement of 850+ live attendees for the Royal Canin event and the success of our own Virtual Veterinary Congress in February 2023, which marked our best year yet with unprecedented registration numbers – 17,000+! The fact that we can bring this many people together and share our content with really is an incredibly proud feeling for me. 

Community Engagement and Networking: 

Our dedication to fostering a sense of community and promoting networking opportunities remained at the forefront of our efforts. We introduced new website features that enhanced accessibility to our live and on demand webinars, we introduced more ways for you to interact and share feedback and we simplified event registrations. These improvements were designed with our community in mind, ensuring a seamless experience for all participants. We appreciate how busy veterinary teams are right now, and anything we could do to help our community is what we really focused on in 2023. 

Our weekly live sessions provided a platform for insightful discussions, knowledge sharing, and valuable networking within the veterinary industry. We love to facilitate connections that contribute to the growth and success of our vibrant community and this will continue into the New Year. 

Growth and Performance: 

The Webinar Vet is proud to announce a significant growth of 28% in our team size in 2023, each new team member bringing unique skills and perspectives to our family. Their contributions have played a crucial role in propelling us forward and enhancing our ability to serve the veterinary community. We really do have a very special team! 

Moreover, our growth and performance metrics tell a compelling story. Our total media views experienced an impressive +27% year-over-year increase, reflecting the growing demand for our content and the value we bring to our audience. This surge in viewership speaks volumes about the relevance and impact of The Webinar Vet in the veterinary education landscape, and we can’t wait for you to see what we have planned for 2024 to take this to the next level. 

In 2023, VETchat by The Webinar Vet experienced its most remarkable year to date, solidifying its position as one of the leading podcasts in the veterinary community. We released over 1,500 minutes of fresh and informative content, covering a whole range of topics across the veterinary profession. With over 45k listens this year, the podcast reached a global audience, connecting with listeners from more than 140 countries. Based on your feedback we also introduced video podcasts, so our audience can now choose to watch our episodes and put a face to those that they are listening to. This year's success outlines VETchat's unwavering dedication to delivering outstanding veterinary education and I’m extremely proud of the content we cover; clinical, leadership, women’s health, team dynamics, we have it all! 

Reflecting on the past year, I am truly heartened by the growth we've seen at The Webinar Vet. Our community has expanded by 11%, now reaching veterinary professionals in over 165 countries. This growth speaks volumes about the impact and value of our work on a global level and continues to grow daily. 

Product and Service Development: 

In 2023, The Webinar Vet took significant strides in product and service development, solidifying our commitment to providing you with the best training and development opportunities to enhance your careers. We successfully launched our new website in 2023 which has been a huge improvement on our previous platform and we got the large majority of our content RACE approval for our US community. These accomplishments underscore our dedication to providing a cutting-edge platform that meets the dynamic demands of our audience. 

We are dedicated to ensuring accessibility for everyone, and we've made it a top priority. In the latter part of last year, we took a significant step forward by implementing closed captions for our on-demand small animal content. Additionally, all of our live webinars now offer the option to display closed captions. Our ultimate goal is to extend this capability to all content on our platform by the end of 2024, underscoring our commitment to inclusivity. 

We are also extremely proud of our sister company Simply Vets, who introduced what has since become a pivotal moment; our expansion into the permanent recruitment market. This strategic move allowed us to cater to the evolving needs of veterinary teams, as recruitment and retention is a huge problem right now in the profession.  The brand reputation and awareness are rapidly increasing, and we’re hoping to scale quickly in the New Year to support you. 

Looking Ahead to 2024: 

As we reflect on the past year's successes, The Webinar Vet is excited about the opportunities that lie ahead in 2024. Our commitment to delivering exceptional content, fostering community engagement, and pushing the boundaries of innovation remains unwavering and we can’t wait for you to see what we have planned!  

The prospect of adding over 150,000 videos to user watchlists is incredibly exciting. This indicates a genuine engagement from our community and a shared enthusiasm for veterinary education. We are approaching the milestone of 3 million page views which is both an exciting and humbling prospect for us. It continues to amaze me how many of our are on this journey with us. 

I want to say a huge thank you to our global community for your continued support, and we eagerly anticipate another year of growth, learning, and collaboration.
